Q: The summer months are here, what’s your best advice to get started on your healthy eating journey?
A: The best way to start is to just eat real, whole foods, not processed foods. This is what I’m trying to pass on to my kids (ages 5 and 7) and I tell them, “If it grows out of the ground, floats in the water, or runs around, it’s good for you.” Of course, there are exceptions to this, but it’s a good rule of thumb and easy for anyone to understand. A: No, you don’t have to be on keto to lose weight, but it works better and is easier to maintain than other weight loss diets. Losing weight is a little tricky.
