Plant-based nutrition is on the rise – all of our favorite celebrities and athletes are adding plant-based foods to their diets. Shay Mitchell, Torrey DeVitto and now world-famous tennis player Serena Williams show off their favorite vegan snacks.
Williams is partnering with JUST Egg, a brand that is bringing vegan eggs to market so consumers can still cook their favorite egg recipes, from scrambled eggs to scrambled eggs and quiches.
Serena Williams shares her vegan protein breakfast
In the commercial, viewers will see the greatest tennis player of all time eating “the best eggs of all time.” Williams, who has 23 Grand Slam titles, is shown at home with the team planning their day. From nutritionists, scientists and personal trainers, she has every reason to.
For breakfast, Williams is served a delicious plant-based JUST Egg scrambled egg sandwich. The narrator reveals the reason she eats plant-based eggs: her team “monitors her protein intake to keep her energized for superhuman results.”
However, in a recent press release, Williams clarifies that her morning is not actually start with the scientists overseeing her diet.
“I’ll tell you a secret: I don’t have a single scientist in my kitchen. It’s not that interesting, she says. “But I have a JUST Egg. I eat to live, so JUST Egg helps me feel and perform better. But it’s also delicious – I don’t think my family can even tell the difference between JUST Egg and chicken eggs. I also fully agree with the mission: how can we make healthy, sustainable options available to everyone? JUST Egg is changing the world for the better and I’m proud to partner with them and be a shareholder in the company.”
Plus, Williams isn’t the only one who enjoys JUST Egg. Actor Jake Gyllenhaal also collaborates with the company. And in his commercial, the actor fries eggs after an exclusive celebrity workout. Both ads are hilarious and both show us that eating plant foods is easy.
The power of vegetable eggs
JUST Eggs aren’t just made up of plants. They are also cholesterol-free and contain 69% less saturated fat than chicken eggs. as well as contain 5-7 grams of vegetable protein per serving, depending on the product.
JUST Egg is helping save the planet, one egg at a time, according to a press release. The company sold the equivalent of 250 million plant-based eggs, saving over 9 billion gallons of water, avoiding over 43 million kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions and saving over 13,000 acres of land.
In addition, our study shows that plant-based plant replacement is effective in reducing carbon and water footprints. In particular, sharing organic food can reduce your carbon footprint by 48%.
